Driver install the inf file was not found ati catalyst

 · I think "whatever", downloaded the latest Catalyst drivers, and try to install it, only to get the message "INF Error, Video Driver Not Found" and then "Try to set up your adapter with a standard.  · The Catalyst driver installs but the Catalyst software fails and the northbridge driver install fails too with the error: "INF file was not found". The whole error report is as follows: Catalyst®.  · It was a multi step process, first go to "My Dell Drivers" (I think) with my system's service tag set and download the newest video driver that Dell has for my video card. Then remove all of the ATI runtime software (the ATI Catalyst stuff) in preparation for the new installation. Then install the new driver software.

ATI CCC was kicking me out of the install, that really started pissing me off. Upon the suggestions of this site, I tracked down the Omega Driver, and upon installing in ran into the missing *.ini file problem. It took me a bit, but I found the file inside www.doorway.ru archive meant for a Dell machine. Install them but not the drivers. 2° Install the new Catalyst drivers, you are going to get the tipical "INF file not found". Good, then go to the directory where the catalyst drivers are, and copy this file "CX_inf" (by default, is in this directory: C:\ATI\support\wxp-radeonefg\Driver\XP). The only change is the new graphics board. I modified the registery subkeys as suggested by Method 1 above but it didn't help. When I looked at the www.doorway.ru afterwards I saw that the install program is searching www.doorway.ru files for a device id that is different from the device id given for the board in www.doorway.ru files that came with the driver.

18 бер. р. I managed to get the Radeon x working but that was about all I could get working. I just had to edit www.doorway.ru file further to add support for. I have ATI Catalyst on here now, but when I try and install drivers new driver, the system wants www.doorway.ru file for it, and I have no idea.
